Theabc English resources can be used as a supplement to another core language curriculum. This is especially recommended for Intermediate learners and beyond. In the United States, a few of the most popular core language curricula from other publishers include:
Survival English, $, for beginners only (older but simple and inexpensive)
The abc English language resources often match the language topics in the above resources. Find the Table of Contents in your core language curriculum that lists unit topics and lesson activities, then go to the abc EnglishOnline Libraryand look within the Vocabulary, Grammar, or Stories sections to find supplemental resources to match.
Note: Most of the curricular resources listed above do not include enough material to teach English Phonics in a systematic and comprehensive manner. To fill this gap, you can add abc English Fast Track Phonics or Level 1 and 2 Phonics in parallel to one of the above curricular resources.
