Getting Started with abc English
The abc English resources can be combined in a variety of ways to meet the needs of different programs, teachers, and students. Choose one of the options below for a Sample Lesson Outline and teaching ideas: 

  • Emergent Readers:  These are students that haven't had opportunities for formal education in their home language, and need instruction in both Low-Beginning Literacy and Low-Beginning Language.
  • Literate Students:  These are students that are literate in their home language, and are at any English language level.
  • Mixed-Level Groups:  (coming soon) These are groups that include students from the above groups mixed together.
  • US Citizenship Students:  These are students who are preparing for to pass the US Naturalization Test.
